How to Apply

The City of Solvang only accepts applications for positions that are currently vacant. A separate City application form is required for each position. All applications must be received in the Department of Human Resources. Postmarks are not accepted. Resumes are welcome but will not be accepted in lieu of a completed City application form.  The City of Solvang is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer and drug-free workplace.

Where do I turn in my completed employment application?
The employment application may be printed to fill out, then mailed or faxed, or personally delivered.  (In regards to faxed applications, the successful candidate must provide an original signed employment application upon hire.)

Should I attach a resume to my employment application?
A resume is usually not required, but it can be helpful. It gives you the opportunity to further detail your education and experience.  Remember, though, a resume will not be accepted in lieu of a completed City application form.
