Read Press Release regarding Water Taste and Odor

August 11, 2014

The City of Solvang uses a high percentage of State water.  During these severe drought conditions, more algae is present in the raw State water before it is treated and the algae removed.  After treatment the State water meets all health and safety standards and is fully safe to drink but retains a slight musty taste and/or odor.
