In-Person Library Service Closed Temporarily

Goleta & Santa Ynez Valley Libraries Temporarily Close
In-Person Services Beginning Tuesday, January 11th

Sidewalk Service Resumes Tuesday – Saturday

Due to the countywide increase in COVID cases, the Goleta & Santa Ynez Valley Libraries will temporarily suspend in-person services and transition to Sidewalk Service only beginning on Tuesday, January 11, 2022.

Sidewalk Service will be available at the Goleta Valley, Buellton, and Solvang Libraries from 10:00 a.m.  – 5:00 p.m. on Tuesdays – Saturdays. The Bookvan will continue its regular schedule to provide services to the Isla Vista community. At the end of the month, the City will determine if conditions allow the libraries to safely reopen for in-person service as soon as February 1st.

During Sidewalk Service hours, you will be able to pick up materials placed on hold through the online catalog using your library card. You will be notified that your items are ready for pick-up via email, text, or automated voice message.

When you arrive at the library to pick up your holds, you must wear a mask and practice social distancing. You have three options to let library staff know you are here:
